About Us
Supporting pipeline integrity work since 1994.
Built on Integrity, Service, and Excellence
Founded in 1994 by James B. Harshman, Diamond Edge Services was established to provide high-quality field support for pipeline integrity projects. James brought industry insight from his experience at TD Williamson, along with firsthand knowledge working with operators and ILI technology across many projects. Today, DES remains a family-owned and operated company, with second-generation leadership managing daily operations. This continuity reflects a long-term outlook, shaped by field experience, accountability, and a clear understanding of what it takes to support integrity work.
From its early days to the present, the company’s focus has remained consistent: perform the work correctly, support our partners reliably, and adapt as the industry evolves.

Health and Safety in Practice
Safety: A Critical Operating Standard
Safety hasn't lost its meaning with the DES team. In fact, it's the central value that underpins every operation we carry out. Health, safety, and operator qualifications are reinforced across all roles to ensure a consistent culture of protection.
Training & Ongoing Reinforcement
Prioritizing safety begins on day one. Every new employee completes a Health and Safety Orientation, followed by continuous reinforcement through toolbox meetings and annual safety training. These activities ensure best practices remain top of mind.
Drug & Alcohol Misuse Prevention
Oil and gas operations carry significant risks and consequences. Accordingly, we maintain a strict, zero-tolerance drug and alcohol policy supported by DOT drug testing implemented both pre-employment and at random intervals. DES is an active participant in DISA and receives oversight through NCMS to ensure a safe and compliant workplace.
Operator Qualification (OQ)
Our team adheres to the API/COOQ Covered Task List and utilizes recognized qualification programs, including Veriforce, NCCER, MEA, Houston Area Safety Council (HACSC), and OSGS, to maintain high standards of competency.
Safety Performance
We take pride in safe operations, and our record exemplifies this with zero OSHA incidents since our inception. Workers’ Compensation and insurance are carried through The Hartford Insurance Company.
